Updates

For this render I placed more lights to brighten up the elevated building a bit since in the previous render the building looked like it was blending in with the wall in the background. Also I placed a light to the side of the guardbot to show more of its detail.

I redid the night render for the attic scene, and tried to achieve more realistic lighting compared to the older, stylized version.

Corinthian Column

Tree of Agony

It Came From Beyond

Aliens, disguised as humans occupy an abandoned warehouse where they import/export advanced plasmatic artillery. The aliens sell these weapons to many crime and terrorist organizations from across the globe. The motive behind their actions is that they hope that one day chaos will consume order and that the humans will wipe out each other and cease to exist, creating a world wide genocide, all without having to do any of the dirty work themselves. The aliens will then take over the world. But little do the aliens know, a small group of bad asses have discovered and gained knowledge about their deeds and are planning on putting an end to this world crisis. Upon opening the entrance to the warehouse they notice a large guard bot facing them along with its plasma cannon.

When I was brain storming on how I could make the warehouse look like it is occupied by aliens I decided that I wanted the aliens to use object lifting tools just like humans. I figured that they regularly come in contact with humans when they export their weapons, then I thought that it would be interesting to have the walls reconstructed so that if you were to walk in the warehouse you would feel a bit uneasy almost as if you stepped into another world.
